CoolestFamilyEver on “Outsourcing The Family“:
We have to be careful how much we delegate to others, however. It seems that these days, we expect others to take care of far too many things that were once the domain of the family. We send our children to schools expecting them to learn without our help. We send them to church to learn positive morals and good social behavior without reinforcing those values at home. Some families even unnecessarily delegate the basic task of spending time with our children to daycare centers and caretakers.

I would like to say–more seriously than it sounds–that i heartily endorse the outsourcing of toilet training to daycare centers.
That is, parents should do all the parenting that they can, but they should also be aware of what they’re not as capable of. (For Jeanne and me, that includes toilet training–that’s something that’s led to some very unpleasant power issues with our children.) Outsourcing those to people who are better at them, whether friends or family or professionals, is a service to our children, i’d argue.

nice post
I agree on your own way of outsourcing a family, I know that most of our children are not properly absorbing on what their teacher taught them, children usually use their own stock knowledge.
