“How did Romney pull that off?” Romney gets Paul Weyrich, Rudy gets Pat Roberston. Win-win for Romney.

Someone said earlier on the radio that:

“Pat Roberston endorsing Giulianni is like John the Baptist endorsing Herod the Tetrarch” (who was committing adultery with his brother’s wife).

I don’t know if I completely agree with the analogy, but found it amusing.

Well, unless Giulianni beheads Robertson, I’m not sure the analogy works either.

But it is odd. Some are suggesting that this shows Robertson is more interested in power than principle. Maybe. I could see endorsing him if he was the nominee but not otherwise.

As Giuliani is actively touting his 9/11 credentials, I wouldn’t want Robertson’s 9/11 remarks associated with me.
