This one seems way out in left field but a blog claims that BYU-I President Kim Clark is looking into the ramifications if the school dropped federal aid. While I think that could be an admirable move in many ways to shake up academic welfare, I can’t believe that would ever happen.

Actually, at some point, it would not surprise me to see all of the Church schools drop Federal aid or other “entanglements.” There is a trend toward linking disapproval of homosexuality as being against public policy. It could be that Church schools would come under attack for their adherence to Church doctrine by the IRS and the department of education (a la Bob Jones University and race in the late 70s).
