Brigham Young University will resume student programs on a limited basis at its Center for Near Eastern Studies in Jerusalem beginning Fall Semester, 2006. UPDATE: The Des News has more.

I’m so happy that this is starting up again. A few years ago, my husband prepared to do the Jerusalem Center’s semester abroad program, and he was devastated when they canceled the trip due to sept 11/terrorism worries.
I think that this is a wonderful move against terrorism– if we let terrorists’ actions scare us away from broadening ourselves, culturally, they have won twice. Yay for BYU.
