BYU Prof and church member criticizes the Brethren’s stance on the Federal Marriage Amendment. I think reasonable people can disagree but he is pretty harsh and seems to have deeper issues with the Church.

Nice. Do you think he might have some objections to a highly-centralized organzation with a patriarchal leadership (and I mean that in the nicest of possible ways)?
I guess it’s one way to sell books.

Half Canadian
There was a case in British Columbia where a public school teacher wrote a letter to the editor stating that homosexuality should not be encouraged. He was fired as well. By a government organization (public school) for expressing himself outside of his work.
I see an equivelance here, except that the church is a private employer.
