Jared Hess, writer and director of Napoleon Dynamite fame, will release his next film, Nacho Libre, this June. It stars Jack Black as a priest who becomes a professional wrestler to save an orphanage.

This interview gives some background on the movie and why Hess likes Latin culture so much:

I was a Mormon missionary when I was nineteen in Venezuela. I was there for a year. That’s where I learned Spanish. My mother-in-law lives in Honduras half of the year. Just the culture altogether, I love it. I adore it.

And yes, the actor who played Pedro will be in Nacho Libre.

Two Missionaries Shot In Chesapeake, VA. Not many other details, but that they are recovering. Chesapeake is in the Norfolk area, a few hours south of D.C. UPDATE: Sadly, news reports and the Church have confirmed that a Bountiful, UT missionary passed away last night. The other missionary is expected to recover. (Link includes a statement issued by the Church).
